OEF Grant Helps the Music Program Sing at Olentangy Meadows Elementary School

The music program at Olentangy Meadows Elementary School received a big boost this school year thanks to the efforts of music teacher Sarah King and a grant from the Olentangy Education Foundation (OEF).

On Thursday, March 19, 2026 the fourth-grade students provided a multi-media performance of their show, “On Broadway.” King used an OEF grant to purchase professional video and audio equipment, a digital music library, and eight new musicals, allowing the students to act in pre-recorded skits, narrate, and sing in the amazing show.

“This allows more students to take on leadership roles without the pressure of memorization or live performance,” said King. “This initiative fosters leadership, creativity, and technical skills while aligning with the district’s strategic goals of leadership development and advancing our digital environment.”

King’s plan was to purchase equipment and resources that would create a sustainable future for the music program and ensure continued student participation in high-quality performances.
