The primary roles of the Executive Director for the Olentangy Education Foundation are to:

  1. Increase OEF brand awareness and visibility within the Olentangy Schools community

  2. Build, sustain, nurture and cultivate donor relationships, with monthly reporting to the OEF Executive Board and OEF Board of Trustees

  3. Work effectively between OEF, foundation donors/sponsors and Olentangy Schools

Secondary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Managing eTapestry donor database and communications

  2. Create outreach materials

  3. Manage and execute annual giving campaign

  4. Provide executive support to the OEF Board

  5. Seek and secure event and foundation sponsorships

  6. Assist with website maintenance

  7. Support fundraising events


  • Create and maintain a visible presence in the community, publicize the organization’s activities and create awareness of, support for and engagement with the organization year-round.

  • Promote a digital-first approach toward engagement and technology, seeking first to maximize efficiencies and eliminate redundant campaigns, systems, platforms, and tools.

  • Ensure the coordination and brand consistency of communications activities within the organization and network by managing the creation and production of digital, print and audio/visual materials..

  • Work in collaboration with community, school district and partners to present the collective impact we make together in improving the lives of children, families and our community.

  • Inspire teamwork and serve as a positive presence as an advocate for OEF.


Marketing & Branding, Digital Marketing Literacy; Effective and Engaging Communicator; Embracing and Managing Change; Community or Donor Relations; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Data Driven Decision Making; Focus on Managing Customer Experience; Personal Accountability; Work Autonomously


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred in one of the aforementioned disciplines, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in increasingly responsible marketing and communications positions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, presenting and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to engage and influence a variety of diverse groups/individuals.

  • Strategic thinking and planning skills.

  • Strong management and change leadership experience. Ability to recruit, manage, lead and motivate the work of volunteers.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High level knowledge of the Olentangy community and fundraising

  • Strong Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PP, etc.


  • This is a part-time, independent contractor position. No benefits are offered with this role.

  • Hours are estimated at 20-30 hours weekly at $30 per hour.

  • Monthly invoicing and time reporting will be required for billing.

  • Contractor payments will be paid one-time monthly
